If two cars are at an intersection right across from each other and they are both turning left, which one goes first? I know it's supposed to be the one all the way to the right, but how do you know which one is to the right if they're across from each other?

But, they got there at the same time. Sorry, I didn't make it clear...

If they are BOTH turning left, they wont be going the same way.
If the cars are facing each other, then if they both take a left, they will go in opposite directions. |

If you're in the US: in practice they can both go as long as the road is clear otherwise. Because they won't be going around each other, they'll both turn just before they get to each other.
In the uk I'm not sure. How about the highway code online? |

The first person to get to the intersection should go first. If there is room for both of you (which most of the time there probably will be, if you're not a road hog), both of you can go. |

You should be able to go at the same time but formally its whoever got to the stop sign first. |

No one has the right of way actually. Right of way isn't even a law. I suppose whichever car starts moving without the other one going.
