if you drove your car in water you couldnt open your door right? because of the pressure. how do you get out ???

This has been covered quite extensively by the mythbusters.
Once the door is past the water line you will be unable to open it until such a time that either:
1) the water has entered the car to a level that the door is completely submerged, meaning that there is no pressure differential at the door
2) you break the window, speeding up point 1 |

Roll down your window so that water starts to fill the car. It sounds scary, but it's the only way to equalize the pressure. Once there is water inside the car and outside the car, the pressure will be equalized and you can open the door. Water weighs a lot more than air. That's why if there is only air inside the car, the water pressing against the door is too heavy to force open. |

You wait until the pressure equalized, you would then be able to open the door.
Alternatively, roll the window down as soon as you hit the water and get out that way or kick out the windscreen.

You can open the door onced you've equalized the presures by trying to open the window a bit. Although water will rush inside, the possibility of the person escaping outside will have a bigger chance. |
