Driving on ice or slushhhhhh?

Alright so yesterday there was some intense ice on the roads and now today its about 40 degrees outside with some on and off rain, and all the ice looks like slush & such.

This is probably a really stupid question but are roads safe even when its slippery but theres slush? or is it still just as dangerous as there being solid ice on the road?

Hi,
Ice/Slush....same thing, in both you get to see where you've just come from. As a lifelong VT.er I've learned the in's and outs of driving in these conditions. My dad use to say "if you start to slide, pick the softest thing and head for it". Don't know bout that Pa?!?
I've found that if you start to slide, put your gear selector in neutral and apply your brakes. DO NOT try this until you have had a chance to try it in an empty parking lot. Also, As your driving, you may see an open track of pavement. Try to keep at least two wheels in them. When all else fails...get some reindeer and............

My advice: slow down. It is very dangerous to drive on slush or ice.

it's more dangerous than just water, less dangerous than solid ice. as the ice melts, it will tend to move out of the main path of vehicle tires.
