Driving (reverse) with emergency break on?

i was backing out of my driveway (uphill) no more than 20ft. before i realized i had left the emergency brakes on.......how badly did i just screw up my car? and should i worry and get it checked on or is it minor thing as long as i don't do it again?

You didn't screw anything up.

If you didn't notice a hesitation or anything, that means your emergency brake wasn't even engaged.

Otherwise, the vehicle would not have moved.

So, the good news is, you didn't break anything.

Bad news is, you actually don't have an emergency brake currently. So, you may want to get that fixed, if you ever want to rely on it.

If you went that far with it on (and you are sure it was on) then it isn't working properly. You need to have the cable tightened so that if you do need it it will work.

You will be fine just while you are driving make sure that you listen for any strange noises that might come up.....
