Driving speed in school zones not on school days?

I live in Nevada and going to take a driving test, I know they are going to test me driv in school zones, but right now, schools are out, should I driv 15m/h or go with the normal speed? Thanks!

Just ask your examiner. He has to answer you truthfully.
At the beginning the examiner will give you basic instructions for the test and ask you if you have any questions. Just say "are you going to be marking for school zones today , are they in effect?"
He has to answer. |

Ask your Examiner before you begin your test. Questions are allowed before your test, but not during it.
Usually the law says to obey these school zones whenever school is in session. In some areas there may be summer school too. If you see any sign of activity around the school perhaps it is open. Check your Nevada Highway Traffic Act too. Its probably available on line.
Once again, Id advise you to check with your Examiner before your test. Also, you must be doing a posted speed as the front of your car passes the speed zone sign and begin to increase your speed again once the rear of your car passes the "end of zone" sign.

If a school does not hold summer classes, the posted school speed limit does not apply. |

I think it would be a good policy to slow down when children are walking along near any school, especially during a test.
Around HERE, there are signs that say "no right turn on red when children are present" and that means ANYTIME children are present, so again, it's probably a good idea to use extra caution in the school zones. |

If it has a sign that says that this is the speed when lights are flashing and the lights are flashing then you better slow to 15. Yeah that sounds silly, but those types of signs are usually shut off in the summer(not always shut off for holidays). If the sign says during school hours then the speed limit doesn't drop because it is no longer school hours. |
