Driving without seat-belt...?

My husband just got a ticket for driving without his seat-belt, (dummy!).
We live in California and this is his first offense. I can't find any current info on the amount of the fine, and there is no amount on the ticket itself, does anyone have any idea?

Fines for not wearing a seat belt
Fines for not wearing a seat belt in California are set at the state level, by the California Vehicle Code. The amount of the fine depends on the age of the person who was riding around without a belt on. For example, if the unsecured passenger is 16 or older, the fine is $20 for a first offense and $50 for future offenses. The law specifically gives the court the option to order the offender to attend defensive driving school instead of paying a fine on the first offense.

This is one of the oddities of California's use of taxpayers money. Instead of just including the fine on the citation, they will waste your tax money on a piece of paper, stamp & envelope to mail you a letter telling you how much the citation you received will cost you.

There should be a phone number on the ticket to call, or contact the issuing police department through the non-emergency number to find out the fine.
