awwwwww......That is horrible!
But there isn't much you could have done, especially on a motorway.
I love ducks! They are such cool animals - there should be signs put up so that drivers know that animals could cross -or block it so animals cannot get onto the road. |
|

guess who...
 |
thats awful!! i would have felt the same... some people just dont care about cute little animals! |

I would rather run over the ducks than slam on the brakes on a motorway and get written off by a 38 tonner....its called survival of the fittest, the lesson is, don't walk on a motorway, sad, but thats nature. |

Aww!!!
thats so sad, but there is nothing you can do about it now. Just think if you had pulled over and rescued them they would have been run over before you had the chance to get to them anyway because the motorway traffic goes so quick. Its a shame though, poor ducks. |

Oh poor you. That must have been so awful for you especially as you couldn't do anything about it. They ought to make signs for things like that on the roads to make people aware. |

I know how you feel. I remember seeing a mother duck trying to lead ducklings across the M53 - didn't see what happened to them but felt awful 'cos I couldn't do anything! |

Sadly it is a better idea to run over a few ducks (plenty more where they came from) than risk a serious accident by swerving to avoid them at high speed. |

Stepping on the brake is not a choice for some people. I hope he/she was on time for his/her appointment. You did the right thing. You should not stop and go back but the idiot who plowed into them should have just stopped in the first place and waited for them to cross the road and it wouldn't have hurt anybody to wait for a minute to see them get across safely. They might have enjoyed it. they have no ligitimate excuse. |

you should try to look for the bright side of things |

What exactly is your question? If you got their license plates and other information, you probably could report them to the officials? I think that's illegal? Not entirely sure. |

IT IS A CRIME IF IT WAS DONE INTENTIONALLY AND IF SO YOU SHOULD CONTACT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND GIVE THEM ALL THE INFORMATION CONCERNING THIS SITUATION.

I know how you feel. I once saw a squirrel dart out on front of me, then it disappeared under the bonnet. I didn't see it again. These things do happen and I 'm sure that the driver of the other car was going to fast to do anything about it. You keep on driving well and I promise to do the same. Chin up. |

Oh my god, how sick is the other driver! Aww how frustrating when you can't turn around to save them. Get peace in knowing what comes around goes around - hopefully something horrible will happen to the driver in return. |

OK. I have a few small issues with what you have said
a) If you were on the Motorway, how did you have chance to notice something as small as a duck and ducklings?
b) Why would a Mother Duck and ducklings be crossing a Motorway in the first place?
c) How is this a question?
d) If they were "plowed" down by a car travelling on the motorway, what exactly do you think you could have done to help them? |

it was horrible the small ones got stuck on my headers..
the smell of burning feathers was overpowering and i had to scrape them off with a stick...one went into the front brake.
ducks seem to be very slick inside...i hope the brake starts working normally soon....the big one was wrapped around the rear axle. (shes not dead).
.i think she will be really good for dinner |
