all i know is that we will be using radio frequency transceiver and a circuit or a system, and a controller connected to the car's brake.. I DONT KNOW HOW THESE ALL WOULD WORK. PLEASE HELP...
Here is theFunctional Description of our system:
Echolocation here functions the same as with the bats wherein they use ultra-high frequency sounds for navigation. In bats, the sounds are made and sent out by their noses. The sounds bounce off things in their surroundings like insects or branches. The reflected sounds, or echoes, are picked up by the bats sensitive ears. Bats can tell how far the thing is by how long it takes the sounds to return to them. Here in our proposed system, RF transceiver will be used to send and receive radio waves to determine the distance of the object (automobile) from the automobile itself. The device will be connected to the system that will include input and output circuit. The system will set a certain frequency, and if after receiving the reflected radio waves, the frequency goes higher than that of the set frequency, the system connected to the brake of the automobile will automatically slow down its speed, making the driver aware of the danger.

It exists, and is called by names similar to intelligent or adaptive cruise control, to slow down your car if you approach a car from the rear and are closing the gap too quickly. It uses radar or laser beams.
