Engine light is on , I had ck all fuilds and seems to be ok.?

Depends on type and year of car. Newer models have so many sensors on them that will make the light come on. For example: my car has a sensor before the catalytic converter and one after it. If the measurement do not match what the factory has set up in the computer on the car then the light comes on. It is on now. For the newer models you may have to have a mechanic hook it up on a computer they have that analysis the car. Take the gas cap off and dive it and see if it goes away. If so buy a new gas cap. No joking.With the car not running put the ignition switch to the aux position, where the radio will play, and hold in on the mil age reset button for one minute. Just a few ideas. I hope it helps

check your gas tank make sure the lid is screwed on all the way and the door is closed

happened to me once.Try going to auto zone for a free comp check on ur vehicle and they should be able to tell u whats wrong.

those things are crazy.... it could be the smallest thing or just a dummy light. you can probably find an auto mechanics place to test stuff for you and figure it out if it worrys you.

Run computer check. The code (or codes) should be a help. Not un-common for there to be a code 12 (GM) and all ok and just one of those manufacture scams to get you to the dealer at a certain mileage mark. Auto zone, among others, will check that for free and can re-set the scam thing.

Take it to a shop. They need to run a diagnostics test on your computer chips to see what the problem is.

go down to checker, or an autoparts store, and have them run a systems diagnostic on you
it could be something as simple as a blown fuse

Go to Autozone, or whichever local auto parts store you like. They should be able to pull your code and tell you the meaning, free of charge. Once the problem that caused the light to go off is corrected, they can reset the light for you.

*edit* Don't buy anything for the car until you get the code checked, lots of people will tell you it's an oxygen sensor - these people usually don't know what they are talking about. You would feel pretty silly if you popped 40 to 100 bucks on an O2 sensor and it turned out the light went off because your gas cap was loose (yes, that can set off a check engine light).

Buy and drive a car that doesn't have all that modern CRAP on it!!!!! The more parts you have, the more things that can (and will) go wrong with it!!!
