FIVE ANNOYING DUMP TRUCKS AT 12:30 PM SHAKING MY HOUSE.?

i live in some condos in a very small but snowy town. and the dumping ground for all the extra snow from the roads seems to be right behind my building. (like 50 feet away). normally i wake up about 4 or 5 on snowy days to the sound of dump trucks.
well it didn't snow today but i guess someone decided that tonight they would call in every noisy dump truck in town to behind our condo. there are at least FIVE beeping, loud, thunderous trucks shoving snow around and its almost one in the morning! every light, picture frame, dish and tv is rattling as if in a constant earthquake. MY WHOLE APARTMENT SOUNDS LIKE ITS UNDER ATTACK!
what can i do? who can i call to see if they can do this during the day? this is ridiculous! i have a 3 month old, and my husband works early in the morning- sleep is precious! any ideas??? please?

12:30 PM is noon 30, so I'm sure you meant AM, but in any case there is not a whole lot you can do about it. If you live somewhere that it snows a lot, you might want to consider moving. If the trucks are working privately for a private property owner, such as the apartment complex you live in, if enough of your neighbors complain, they may do something about it. If the trucks are working for the town, county,city or state, there is nothing you can do as they are covered under eminent domain laws. ( inconvenience a few for the greater good of all) |

we all have to learn to put up with some bs in our lives.

There is nothing you can do in this situation. Garbage collectors have a job to do which is to collect garbage in your neighborhood. You can't control how the garbage trucks make so much noise. That is just what happens. Now you could move, but the logical thing to do would be to live with it. You've survived this long haven't you? I'm sure you will continue to live with it. Complaining won't help because as I said, they have a job to do. As long as they aren't harassing you or damaging anything on your property then you don't have anything against them. |

Nothing you can do. Next time before you move in ask about things like that, and check out the area. If there is a firehouse a block away and a hospital across the street expect it to be noisy. |
