Carry about 500 lbs. of coarse sand in the back of your truck. The added weight helps with traction, and in a pinch, you can shovel a little bit of it under your tires and get extra traction from that too. |

Cinderblocks in the bed, as close to the wheel wells as you can get. Snow tires, and a bag of kitty litter for traction if you get stuck. |

Steady on the gas peddle. Don't spin the back tires. Get some weight back there and bit less air pressure on the tires can help too. |

I use 6 cinder blocks in a wood frame in the truck bed so they won't slide around and stuuded snows on the back. Works quite well for me. I also have a limited slip differential which helps a lot too! |

either using chains or loading the back end of the bed of your truck. both works. good luck and best wishes. we live in the country and thats what we do with our pick-up. |

weight on the bed and chains on the tires. Also as backup, a bottle of Jack Daniels, the name and location of a motel in your area to spend the night in, in the event you don't make it up the hill. LOL |
