Has anyone else noticed this?

I've noticed the intensity, but sometimes I'll flash the beams at people and then they DO turn on their high beams! Turns out it isn't high beams, just illegal lights.

I always though that the annual vehicle inspection covered checking the aim of the headlights, but apparently they just check to see if they're on or not.

Some of the halogen lights are a problem for me, as are most aftermarket lights. (fog lights etc) as are improperly aimed headlamps.. and they DO cause problems for other drivers.

I did noticed it. I think there must be some regulations that must be imposed on car manufacturers as to the intensity of light that must be installed on cars. These halogen headlights really blinds your vision when you are driving, it caused some really serious accidents lately.

I have the same issue :( Spot lights usually work, when availible.

I have an even bigger issue with cheap SOB's like SSrac comment...Not his actual words....but what I read into his post........I drive a $35K (or more) set-up....But I'm too cheap and LAZY to purchase a screwdriver and make the adjustments myself.

I have noticed this also. It hurts my eyes too much. And, like you, even after turning on my high beams, they do not switch back to low beams.

Some people are A holes, others have the new Halogen light that are twice as brite. This bulb should be outlawed,or adjusted down a little automaticly when oncoming traffic is present. It's do- able. Truck Drivers should get together and write congress,While your at it ask them why DIESEL FUEL IS SO ----#@%$ HIGH. BLOW YOUR HORN........

Sometimes. But for the most part people are compliant. Granted I only drive a fraction of the time you do as a professional over the road person. So I have to yield to your answer as accurate.

I will continue to drive with the low beams on to help you out if we ever pass on the roadways.

Some people see better with high beams on , although everyone should be nice . truckers too!

not only that but so many cars have really those really bright halogen low beams so half the time I can't even tell!

You may be looking at the new lamps that are much brighter than the HID, the new lamps have a blue tinge color.

I'm on the outskirts of my city, so I'm constantly taking side roads and driving with my high beams, and side lights (aimed to the sides of the road, we have a lot of deer and its not alwasy easy to see them). whenever I see a car coming, I'll turn the side lights off, and switch to low beam, and turn them back on after I get past them. If they don't turn thier highbeams down I'll turn my high beams back on, fog lamps, driving lamps, side lamps, and ralley lamps on (my truck is well lit). Usually they get the message...I'm not the nicest person, I like to teach lessons.

you may be one that is flashing at me. mine are on low beam most of the time. when i pull a trailor they must be a little high
