Has anyone gotten hit in the head by a bird while driving with the window down?

lol omg um NO I HAVE NOT but..not only is that crazy but i have never heard of that EVER! lol i dont think you need to leave the widows up anymore, the chances or that happening agian are very very slim. Like getting hit by lighting 2 times, i mean unless your head is made of bird feed..dont think it will happen agian.

Not while I'm driving but on multiple occasions a bird (and I suspect it is the same bird - metallic blue in color) has flown directly into my head when I go out to my mailbox. It always attacks me from the back so I never see it coming and the funny thing is that it then flies to a nearby tree and watches my response!

It must have been a freak accident, because generally the "side wash" of wind would push a bird backward and away from your window. If he flew in the side window, you must have been going fairly slow.

Had a sparrow bounce of my crash helmet at 60 mph on my motorbike,

Ive been hit by bees but not a bird....how ever I have been to several accident scenes in my area where turkeys have flown through the windshields of trucks.

No, but on a hot day of bumper-to-bumper traffic a bee flew up my skirt and I hit the car in front of me. To this day, my family thinks I am fibbing.

Never heard of that happening before so I would just consider it to be a freak accident.Unless your car is blue and the bird assumed it was water. HAHAHA

That is totally freaky. Never has happened to me though, I guess I like having the air conditioning on more than the window open.

No. got hit on the hand by a bird while I was motorcycling.

Keeping your window up will improve gas mileage, providing you use the vent rather than the a/c

wow, you are lucky you didn't lose control of the car!! i was working in my yard a few weeks ago, i was bent over and when i went raise up, a bat flew right into my head. i think we both freaked out!! :-0 eeewwww!!

birds are strange but smart, they go through windows if they think they can get out the other side. I almost hit one on my windsheild the other day and that was enough to freak me

Wow that is crazy. I've hit them with the bumper before but I've never heard of that one. Freak accident. Doubt you could do that again if you wanted.

Not a bird, but a dragonfly hit my left side mirror, exploded, and landed on my glasses and head. My eye may have been damaged if not for the glasses.

Hey...it is over. What do you think the odds are of that happening again? I was struck by a mocking bird while riding a motorcycle...POW...right on the knot...I did have a helmet on...but it still hurt. But I have ridden for 18 years since...and no more birds. But there was a lady in a seventy model Pontiac...waayyy bigger than the bird. Forget the bird ...watch the people. Best wishes

kinda....happened to me long time ago. drove along field with high grass and pheasant jumped up and flew horizontal into my windshield and out of the backglass. (actually he died in the process) I was driving fast and ducked when I saw him. Got a nasty cut on my forehead from his beak and blood and feathers everywhere. it was a chance meeting so to speak. it did not pursuade me to ride the bus instead...i still drive 31 years later
