the road test "no" but the written test I failed once, but in my own defense I had just moved to Michigan and being I'm a city girl I didn't know to much about rural area's and farming tractors like how far to stay behind etc,,,,I'm happy to report I did the second time pass it,,,,,, |

Yes thousands of them on all types of vehicles.
I've also passed thousands of them on all types of vehicles
I was a driving examiner for 30 years. |

yeah i failed 3 of them although im certain i should have been passed the second and third time the examiners have a set amount they have to fail in a day and i was unlucky |

yep, twice. My nerves just went to pieces each time and I was ok with the driving, just not the manouvres. Each examiner just told me I needed to relax, easily said! Eventually passed 3rd time and happily and safely been driving 6yrs now. So hold on there if you're struggling, driving brings you so much freedom. |

I failed my first driving test. I remember being so nervous that when the instructor said to go I just pulled away from the curb without even looking. I failed immediately. What I did was as soon as I was done with the horror drive around the block is that I went to dmv to make another appointment. In New York you had to wait two weeks before they will let you take another test so in the meantime I practiced the routine and the second time I aced it!
Good Luck!!! |

Hi Skycat
Yes, affraid so, about 3 weeks ago, i feel he was a little unfair, but as stated by DSA, there is a national pass rate of 43% to be maintained and equally a 57% failure rate.... and it cost me £58 for my test.
Whilst i doidnt argue, just accepted his statment, it really depends on the examiner and pass rate on the day.
The words from my examiner as i wandered into the test centre was just try your best, i asked why afterwards, he said you had Mr Edwards... and refused to say anything else...
So whilst on the test i felt harshly marked, what can you do. |

Twice. Last one in 1982. People are always telling me what a good driver I am. Don't have a full license and drive alone without one. They don't know. |
