today i hit a parked car in the parking lot and scratched it and i just drove away. who else has done this?...it's happened to me twice so i know you're out there....

yes twice, one because I was too close to another car and though I could make it. I didn't care because when I used to park on the street in SF, my car would get nailed once a week. All 4 corners of my Saturn have been hit or scratched. The second time was when someone parked halfway into my driveway and I backed into it with my truck. I don't park my vette on the streets of SF for this reason. |

No. I have not ever been a culprit of hitting some body's car and driving away. However, I have been a victim of it quite a few times. One time I was pulling out of a store parking lot and there were two lanes. Unfortunately, the right lane was not big enough, while the left lane (the lane I was in) was a lot wider. This guy in a Chevrolet S10 hit my right door at about 35MPH (IN A PARKING LOT!!!) This happened to be the first occasion this happened and so it scared me. At first I thought it was like a huge rock or something that flew into my car out of no where. Somehow, the mirror got knocked out in one piece. It was not all over the place; just one huge chunk of mirror. Plus the holder for the mirror had no excess mirror in it. So that part was kind of weird. It ended up totaling my door and mirror. So I had to get a brand new door, and get it painted and then had to get a new mirror. It cost about $500.00 and that was the best I could do. Oh and the guy that hit me: Never Found! And the rest of the times I cannot remember exactly what happened. |

No. I once touched a car with mine and got out to make sure there was no damage. If there had have been I would have left details. It is illegal to drive off. I hope someone has taken your number plate down. And just because it's happened to you doesn't make it right to do it to someone else. |
