I got my oil changed yesterday. When I was driving my car home, something felt funny. Then the next day I was driving my car to work. I started to hear this squeaking noise. I turned around and went back home.My husband checked out my car and noticed that the emergency break was on. It turned out it was the emergency break was on. I have got my oil down many many times and they never have left my emergency break on, not once. When I saw the red break symbol I thought there was something wrong with my breaks, but would have never guessed it was my emergency break on.Have you ever left your emergency break on and didn't realize it?

I set up my own emergency brake. If I have it on the car will not move. Chances are that I will never have that problem though. I use my parking brake religiously and part of my start up regime is to release it as soon as I put the car in gear. |

yes...we all have...
but depending on how far you drove your rear brakes will now need changing even if there not worn down...drive with the break on will overheat the shoes/pads destroying the friction material.it almost turns them to dust due to overheating. |

No. The emergence brake light on the dash should have given you adequate warning, Why drive with the warning light on. I suggest you study the owners handbook! I assume you are not in the habit of using the emergenct brake, but rely on using the P on the auto box. This is bad practice. |
