Yes there a lots a stupid ones
But the deer one is not necessarily one.
There is the same sign near where I live and it is placed on a corner where there is a wood. And I have often seen deer come out on this corner. So maybe the council actually listened to the residents and placed the sign in the correct place. |

The one about the deer means that the possibility of a deer on the road is for 300 yds. Not that one will come out at 300 yds. They put it up because people have been known to hit deers on that road.
About the rocks. They want you to stay alert, because rocks could be falling or on the road. Thus, drive slow and keep your eyes open.

I was stuck in a long tail back in cornwall last summer on the approach to dob walls the council had closed one lane with cones and a sign Saying "Lane Closed to Ease Congestion" yet the tail back was 4/5 miles long!.
Nr kingsbridge devon theres a Ford road that regularly floods, with the Tide the sign below says Road liable to Flooding!. |
