Have you started to use child car/booster seat since the new law can in, in england?

I work for the local Council, and part of my job is to transport children and young people around the county. We have just had to buy 4 seats for the mini bus. Although the children and young people only use them for about an hour a week. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good Idea, but the expense is ridicules and Unless the police are going to stop every car with a child in, and measure and check their age, it seems a bit pointless.

i used it from before as soon as i took my baby home from hospital. from there just got a larger seat as my baby grew.

i think any loving parent would try to keep their child as safe as possible.

problem is for parents of older children as it is hard enough getting older kids to wear their belts before the car moves off without having to buy (and get them to use) these expensive items as well.

Of course..........The new law is aimed at keeping our children safer in the car. y children are 5 and 1 so were still using car seats/ boosters any way but it always amazed me how many children of 2yrs upwards were not using a booster seat. Seat belt injuries can be incredibly bad even in low speed collisions hopefully this new law will reduce the number of children receiving these unnecessary injuries.

Yes. My children are 9, 7 and 6 and we had stopped using them. Now we have started and it is a complete pain as the kids can't fasten the belts themselves. At least it keeps them safe. We try and walk as much as we can anyway - its much more healthier and better for the environment.

would love to be using one for my grandaughter but typically of this country we bring out a new law and then do not have the supply to reach the demand i have tried every where to buy one all sold out why did the manufactors not produce more to meet the demand that was obviously going to happen
