Help! baby infant car seat installed, but it lifts up on the end of the seat.?

how can I make it stay put. read all directions, and it wont stay put. has no tether because it is a rear facing infant car seat. what to do

I answered your other question - but wanted to respond to this one. There ARE rear facing seats that can be tethered, but no infant carriers in the US can't be. SUnshine Kids Radian65 and Britax convertible seats can both be tethered rear facing to prevent the cocoon effect.

Find a safety event and go have it fitted. Even if you have to pay a charge to the likes of a store then go there.

Bear in mind too that alot of car seats (no matter what the instructions) are not compatible with certain cars... this I hope you already checked with the manufacturer.

Is the belt tight enough? When you installed the seat, did you kneel on it while pulling on the seat belt strap? That's the best way to get the belt to tighten...I was shown that by someone who was certified in car seat installation.

If you still can't secure the seat, call your local police station or hospital. They might have someone there who does car seat installations, or can direct you to someone.
