How and where do I start my drivers permit?

I want to start driving and get a driver's permit and then evenutally license. So do I have to get online and read on it's rules and regulations? I don't know how to start this whole process. Anyone know a good website for previewing recent driving test so I can be prepared? Or any site that can get me started on a permit, please and thanks.

You should call the Department of Motor Vehicles, or the Drivers Licence Branch, and aks them if they are able to send you a guide for studying to get your permit. You will then have to do a written or computer test that shows that you have read the book, and shows that you have the skills and knowledge needed for driving. After you pass this, you will be issued a learner's permit, and you will have to drive with a qualified adult. You will NOT be able to have any other passengers in the car other than you and a qualified driver. |

Go to driversed.com you can do the classroom portion there without having to go to classroom and then sign up with a local driving school for driving instructions. You can study your local hanbook. |

If your still in high school they usually telll you when to sign up.Call your local or state dmv and tell them that you want to sign up for driving school.There maybe a waiting list if you want it done quicker find a private driving school doesn't cost much. |
