Hey I have failed my test three times now, yesterday I did the whole test and was shaking the whole time, only had one minor fault (didnt check one of my mirrors as my possition changed reversing around corner) then as we were on our way back I went through an amber light and she failed me. The time before that I had three monor faults and then nipped in front of someone too quick on a roundabout - again at the end of the test. When I drive about on my lessons I dont make any mistakes chat away to my instructer and dont even hae to think about what Im doing but I just cant pass my test. Im thinking about going to do one of these week aways where you are guarentted a pass has anyone tried them? Desperately want to be driving it would make my life so much easier (I am a working mum) Maybe you just cant teach an old dog new tricks and I should have done it year ago. Sorry this had ended up a long one lol

You don't neeed a week away, you need a lot more time driving, with someone nagging you, until you are driving perfectly, relaxed, and then a little bored. Ask for a double-lesson, and ask to drive to a city about 20 miles away and back, to give you a real taste of what the road is like away from 'Your-Town'.
The confidence you gain on a longer trip will show you that you are ready. When it comes to the test, imagine you are picking up 85 year old GrandPa from his operation at the hospital... Gently does it. Eyes everywhere, and no amber-lights! |

Take your instructor on the test with you. It may have a negative effect, but on the other hand maybe not. Not that he/she is allowed to say anything while your taking your test but, you might find that just having them in the car with you may take away your anxieties. Take deep breaths and stretch in the test centre before heading out. Think hard on the way back that you will have to spend another 56.50 plus two lessons if you loose your concentration.
Also taking 'Rescue Remedy' or some other herbal relaxant may do the job, but remember to try them on lessons leading up to your test as you might find that they make you a little too relaxed if you get my meaning...... don't up the recommended dosage. |

after my sister failed her test she was shaking the whole time and failed due to a stupid mistake she got advised to get a carming herbal remedy from the health shop call larch you put a few drops in water and sip it. it is advertised in heath magazine to give you confidence to get you trough your driving test and my sister was really calm before her next test and passed good luck |
