How can I buckle 2 adults & a toddler [in carseat] into a 16' Budget truck? with only two seat belts?!?

The dealer said the 16' truck only has 2 seats! The 24' truck has 3 seats, but oversize vehicles (over 20') are prohibited over Stevens pass (from Omak, WA to Olympia, WA)! Please help me solve this problem!

Laws regarding seatbelts and trucks vary, but generally speaking you can only carry as many occupants as you have seatbelts. 2 seatbelts=2 occupants. End of discussion.

Someone will have to take the train.

You can't. Legally you cant do it. Two seat belts means two people. If you do put a child in the truck as the passenger make sure that the airbag is not engaged. In some of the older trucks that have dual bags you have to use the truck key to turn it off.

Move home or get another vehicle!

You can't legally have the child seat in that car so the kid has to get there by some other means. I'm assuming you won't care and will do it anyway, but that's the law and you're not going to just get a tickeet, but it's considered "child endangerment." You can actually go to jail.

The law is simple......the number of people must equal the number of seat-belts so you cant.
