Go out the night before eat a nice meal and go home and relax and go to bed. Get a good nights sleep and when you arise the next morning thank the Good Lord for what he has helped you accomplish in your life and leave the rest to him.

relax. the worst thing that can happen is that you dont pass your driving test. if you have a week or so before the test, have one of your parents let you drive, and have them critique your driving until you are ready to strangle them. also practice the thing that makes you most nervous about passing your test. for me it was parallel parking. once you pass what makes you nervous, the rest is a cake walk. one more thing, remember the nike and degree commercial slogans;

just do it

never let them see you sweat.

Drive time is the best solution. The more you drive the more comfortable you will be. Practice something every time you drive and don't forget to keep an eye on your mirrors.

Get a good nights sleep the night before, have a small breakfast like a banana...you don't want to upset your belly. Dont drink anything with caffeine in it and try to make some small talk with your instructor before you start the test, that will make you feel more comfortable with him/her. Don't put a bunch of pressure on yourself, just imagine you're by yourself and driving to a friends house...you'll be fine if you don't stress yourself out.

Have a cup of tea and a chat with your instructor.

It's OK to feel a bit nervous.

Oh .... have a stiff drink AFTERWARDS You'll deserve it

Get a good night's sleep so you can wake up early and drive a little before your actual test. That's how my instructor helped me calm down and get any stupidity out.

Also, just think of the guy giving the test like he's another instructor or a friend who's helping you learn to drive, no need to look at him, just look at the road, and follow his directions. Good luck, you'll do fine!

most driving schools will take you out for a lesson immediately before your test, so that you've 'warmed up' rather than being fresh into the car with the person adjudicating.

in the weeks before, work out what you're good at and what you're not so good at - ask your driving instructor to go over and over your weaker points until you can get them right.

be sure that you've had enough to eat and drink on the day of your test - nothing worse than feeling hungry or thirsty before and flaking out before or during your test! make sure you go to the loo before you take the test, so that you don't suddenly find you need it halfway through.

if you think you've made a mistake during your test, don't give up - slow down, calm down and do your best for the rest of it. my test took me down a road i'd never seen in my life with a very wobbly curb which was all over the place - i nudged it but was determined not to let it put me off - thankfully i passed in spite of this.

Firstly not a good idea to have a stiff drink beforehand. Recommended would be some gentle exercise with deep breathing and quiet surroundings like a stroll in the park or up a hill. Close your eyes and meditate for half an hour going through everything on your mind so you know you can do it before you begin the test.
