With consideration for the fact that most motor homes are driven much faster than safe speeds, seat belts usually just cover the laws and provide very little safety otherwise.
The contents of a motor home are usually not very secure and in an accident provide flying debris.
In a recent Trip in ours to and from Florida, I noticed the average speed of the really big ones was far in excess of 70 mph.
Driving at 55 everything passed me.

The Seat has to be a proper full size car seat, with one fitted belt per person.

Most of the modern vehicles have them as standard on the majority of seats, unless it is a low sofa or bed.

Answer : They can not travel on a side seat, it is dangerous.
