How can science keep you from getting hurt in car accidents?

gimpalomg
Wow, that list is endless or nearly so.

Safety glass
Laminated windshields
Radial tire
Radial tuned suspension
Good instrumentation
Twilight light
Traction control
All wheel drive
Seat belts
Air bags
Crumple zones
Improved mirrors
Better performance
Plastic parts (decrease mass hence momentum)
Canceling turn signals
Power steering
Rack and Pinion steering
Hydraulic brakes
Power brakes
Adjustable seating
Padded dash

Is that enough to get you started on what ever you are working on.

Don't forget, if science can prevent the wreck that counts because no one gets hurt if there isn't a wreck.

Doubtful 360
Disc brakes and electronic stability control in newer cars mean the road toll should be way down on what it was 20 or 30 years ago.It seems the more technology helps us,the more we need to be helped.
