How can we STOP DRUNK driving?

Without imposing severe draconian measures, we will never stop driving and drinking.
Here are three suggestions,
1) Install breathalyzer machine in every car sold. Must blow into machine and be free of alcohol for the car to start.
2) If caught driving and drinking, car is seized and your driver's license is revoked for 5 years. If you need car for work, too bad. If you still owe on the car, too bad. Declaring bankruptcy will not make an auto loan go away. Seized cars are sold, with proceeds going toward stop drinking programs.
3) If you kill someone while driving and drinking, automatic death penalty. Imposed immediately at sentencing.
Are you OK with any of my suggestions?
Personally I would have no problem with enacting #2

nojuicy - those exist and they cost a cool $15k to be put in a car... plus someone sober can blow into it to get the car started (my friend had one via a court order)

random checkpoints are effective but some states have stopped doing them because they claim its unconstitutional. they could also set a limit for how many drinks a bar can sell someone but that would take away alot of business and possibly even close some bars because they wont make a profit. maybe they should start putting the little blow tube in every new car they sell.

We can't. Been trying for over a hundred years and it just gets worse. And regardless of what penalties we dish out there is no way to prevent a determined drunk from getting behind the wheel and going for a toot.
The only way to prevent this is to suspend most of the civil liberties that we hold dear. Try to guess how far we would get with that proposal.

The only way I could think is a breathalyzer machine hooked straight to the engine. Every time you want to start the car you have to blow into it to verify your blood alcohol level.

I believe a breathalyzer test is most effiecient way.

A 18 year old illegally drinking running into another vehicle killing someone like hitler or al gore or around either of those two in status of terrible people in earths history should not get very much time

killing a parent however deserves a much worse consequence.

I see a breathalyzer works for both of them

if you get caught, you get the death penalty...there that should slow it down alot

If you kill someone driving drunk no matter "WHO" you are then you should be charged with murder.........that might stop it..
