How come kids over 13 can not drive even if they alredy know how.?

Most 13 years olds cannot make the judgement calls necessary for day to day driving situations. 13 year olds also tend not to be as responsible as older teens and adults. Also "kids over 13" can drive- in the US you can get a driver's license at 16.

for the same reason they are(or at least were a while back) trying to get the driving age changed to 18. Just because you know how to drive doesn't mean you are responsible enough to handle it. Alot of the problems with accidents occur because young irresposible kids were driving drunk(and were too young to be drinking anyways) and got in an accident.

And anyways, what use does a 13 year old have to drive? You go to school and go home. Right not you shouldn't have the freedom to go where you want anyways, all it can cause is trouble.

I feel safer knowing my little 13 year old cousin needs a ride everywhere, at least then we know where she is and what shes doing and who shes with. Its alot better than finding out later that she went to a bad part of town and got raped and killed all because she could drive herself wherever she wanted.

The law for driving a car are set because people feel that anyone under 16 is not mature enough to legally drive a car. Cars can be very dangerous. Do you think a thirteen year is responsible to take care of a car or face the consequence for a bad decision?

Are u Mexican ? I've heard in Mexico as long as u reach the peddles u can drive.

You make no sense inwhat you say... its peddles, and the reason they cant drive is because they are too young, its been shown that the younger you are the more immature thoughts and decisions are made. Its all on the age at which a person cna make a wise decision, not whether they know how to drive or not, its like drinking, why not let a two year old drink, i mean, he knows how to drink. Its all on the age, that upon becoming an age, its thought you are coming to a time in your life where you can be trusted to make a wise decision.

i think its that they are probaly just too young and are unable to steer or control the car in this case. i the US u can drive at 16 wich is ok but still 13 year olds WILL get distracted with texting,BBM,ipods and so on i am 15 and trust me i know wat is am talking about!!
