How do I know if I a being stalked and what do I do if I am?

Just a few moments ago I heard unusually loud rap music coming from outside that awoke me so I walked out from my bedroom and just looked over the edge of the fence, but didn't notice anything. Then I bent-down and just looked through the cracks of the fence and there was a car sitting in front of my home with the window down and assumably two (but I'm not sure) people in it. The car the turned around a very slowly drove off. I am totally frazzled and I am not sure what to do any suggestions?

By the way, also, I didn't even notice the car until after I bent down and I saw car lights coming through the fence... not that this is important, but ...

Maybe they were trying to get someone else's attention and not yours. Maybe they were just druggies taking a hit.
Maybe they were casing the neighborhood.

Just wait and see if they do it agian.

Keep an eye on them, and if they keep bothering you then talk with the police if you feel threatened by them.

If you are being stalked that would mean someone is constantly following you. I would say that it is suspicious if a car just parks in front of your property. Here is my advice to you. The first thing you should do is not panic. I know that may be difficult but you need to relax, and assess the situation. Secondly, you need to count how many times you have seen that vehicle, or the people in that vehicle. If they show up more than once then you should watch out to see if it is something that occurs regularly. If you see the same vehicle every night or at the same spot and they are in front of your property, then you should call the police. Usually the police come right away because they are obligated to do so. They will check things out. If the vehicle or persons inside are not showing up regularly then I wouldn't be concerned. Just be on the look out and if you see anything suspicious or feel they are a threat to you or the neighborhood then call the police.

They're probably not, but it would be a good idea to keep an eye out for them for the next couple of weeks, you can often tell if someone is following you because you will often see them more than once in an unlikely area such as outside your house and then in a park with no kids or something.... So if you ever do see some one like that keep a good mental photo of them if you see them three times then don't go anywhere in a remote place or after dark and report it to the police as soon as possible try not to be too hasty though there's usually a simple explanation but you've got to be careful these days.

I jog regularly at the same, small park that has a 2/3 of a mile oval. Over the past 2 weeks, I have noticed a man, by himself, sitting in a vehicle, not the same vehicle, just sitting there. Not on his cell. Not exercising. Never getting out of his vehicle. Today was the fourth time I have been aware of this person. I can't even be sure it is the same person, but they are always alone, and the same race that is the exception for this area. Others of this race exercise or walk their dogs but they are of a lesser percentage for this area. This lone person always leave whenever I do or start to get into my car. I am beyond thinking this is a happy coincidence. I feel I am being watched, but don't know why. Does anyone think I should be alarmed enough to contact authorities? Today I got a license plate # and description of the latest vehicle. After I left, I waited out of sight to wait and see if this person was leaving at the same time. Sure enough, 1 minute later here he comes. I waited for a couple of cars to get between us and followed for a couple of miles. No reason someone living in that direction would be coming to a fitness park just to park and do nothing. They have never attempted to follow me, they just seem to be watching me until I leave. Any advice? Thanks to all.
