I was on the road, and a guy that had to be around 80 years old was swerving left and right, into oncoming traffic, looking around like he didn't know what the hell was going on, and he was beeping at people for being in his way while swerving. He almost got hit by oncoming traffic 3 times, and I was only behind him for 1 mile before I had to turn. If that was 1 mile, I'd hate to see 10. Anyways, how do I report him to Michigan Government? I have his plate #.

just call the state police they will investiagte and they will do what they think needs to be done |

I wouldn't go through the Michigan Government. I would go through the police by calling 911 or through the non emergency number and tell them the plate #, and then they will handle it through that way. I find that if you tell the government, it will be hard for them to get onto it right away. |

You should call your local police department. Once you do, then give them the license plate number and they will take it from there. Just let them know what you saw and they will take the necessary precautions. |

This type of activity is not supported by the government or state rules in any of the 50 states. In other words, civilians cannot report drivers to the authorities, drivers would have to be stopped by the police in order to get cited or otherwise prosecuted for their actions behind the wheel.
The most you can do is go to one of many privately operated websites that post license plate information to warn other drivers - but these are 100% pointless. Nobody remembers license plates when on the road.
If this system of reporting would be possible I could call on any driver and say anything I want - that would not be right, would it?
The best you can do is protect yourself from reckless drivers instead of trying to get them back for anything. |
