How do I report speeding drivers?

not worth the effort. you would be called as a witness as you were the only one, probably, to go out of your way to record their info and proceed with a complaint. bite your tongue, curse at them in your car, and hope they end up in a ditch somewhere.

In my county we have the 911 system. Your best bet would to be call the local police directly. If you call with the plate numbers the make, model and color of the car, and anything specific to identify the car such as big stickers, or something. The 911 dispatcher or police dispatcher will call for an available police unit in the area the police will then keep their eyes open for the vehicle(s). A officer must witness an illegal act before a ticket can be issued.

Nothing's going to happen. An officer has to actually see the person speeding. Otherwise it's simply your word against the other driver's, and nobody's going to issue a ticket based on that.

The only thing that could work is for you to call the police on your cell phone (yes, there are times it should be used while driving) and report the location and as much additional info as possible. If an officer spots the speeder, he'll do what's necessary.

call *77 to report agressive driving, you tell them your location and what car they are driving and thats it.

What exactly did they do to you to make you feel you need the police, and or why didn't you confront them at the stop light if you felt so endangered? If you are asking how to just prove you witnessed speeding I would think at this point even the police don't care. Worry about yourself and leave people and the police alone unless you are threatened and have a real need for justice or protection.

you can report them but nothing will happen to them as for them to be prosecuted they would both need to be interviewed by police as well as you and then if the police think they can get a conviction they will send them to court and if any one of them say NOT GUILTY its then your turn to be dragged into court to give evidence about this matter and if the judge still cannot find any hard evidence on it , it will then be dismissed and if anyone of them have a real good lawyer the lawyer will turn the case on you for their time out of work plus expenses and they will peruse it until they get there money. so its not worth the hassle unless you have a video camera and you can just turn the tape over to the police and then they will get a 100% conviction without you going to court.

You can call the cops with the information if you want, but even if the drivers are contacted, they will get little more than a warning.

No proof, no ticket, no charges.

Unless the cop who goes to warn them sees something else illegal.

Although it might prompt more police patrols in the area and they could be on the look out for them to do it again.
(Not a totally wasted effort on your part.)

Sounds like you were a witness to aggressive driving.

One of the states I travel through has signs posted with a free phone number to report aggressive driving, and the one time I used it the freakin cop interrogated me for ten minutes, as if I was calling in on myself or something.

Screw 'em, I say. When they go screaming through traffic and cause a pileup that kills or injures somebody, maybe a "good samaritan" will give the cops their tag number. Until then, these clowns better pray they don't hit my car.

Best advice get a dvr camera installed by you and you'll see...proof!!! I got one and it really works for the court.
