How do i work those meters for parking a car?

1. You park.

2. You lock your car.

3. You add the correct amount of money into the meter.

4. You walk away.

5. Know when your meter expires.

First you park your car next to the designated meter. Then you put the money in the meter. You also need to know when the meter expires..

Meters only take quarters. I think one quarter lasts 15 minutes or that's what it was for the last meter I used. It might be different in different places. So, basically depending on how long you need to park there is how much you put in. You may find a spot with 5 minutes left on the meter from someone who parked in the spot before you.

So, if you need to park there for 30 minutes, put in 2 quarters.
