First up you have got three pedals left is the clutch, middle one is brake and the right one is accelerator.The gear lever in the middle of the car has normally 5 forward gears and one reverse and neutral is in the central area. The hand brake which is between the seats locks the back wheels to stop you rolling away. When you want to start off you press the clutch to the floor put the gear lever in 1st gear and gently press the accelerator pedal you then slowly start releasing the clutch pedal until you feel the car pulling forward which is the point where you can hold the car on the clutch then release the hand brake and apply more accelerator and slowly release the clutch at this point you should be travelling forwards. At this point you need 2nd gear so put the clutch to the floor again and release the accelerator and put the gear lever into 2nd gear,it is the same routine changing up through the gears or down the gears.The secret is matching the revs and not letting the clutch back to quickly, when you want to stop brake and press the clutch to the floor before you stop and once stoped put the hand brake on and put the gear lever in neutral and release the clutch.It sounds more complicated than it really is but the driving instructer has duel controls so they will help you and you will get the hang of it so good luck |

It depends on the transmission.
If its a manual, start the ignition, press down on the clutch before putting the stickshift to one. Gently release the clutch and press down on the gas as you start to move. Let it move slowly while still having your foot gently on the clutch. If you feel the car is stable enough to run, you release the clutch all the way. If you want to shift up, release the gas, press down on the clutch and shift to the next.
If its an automatic, just put it on drive and step on the gas.
My apologies for notgiving a more comprehensive explanation. It is difficult to explain driving over text. i suggest you consult with a driver for some actual, hands-on tips.
