it seems so nerve wrecking to me, feels like I'm way to close and will hit it, especially on a turn where you're right next to it... What's a good distance to stay away from it?

Yeah those are annoying, just go slow and watch your distance on both sides. Doesn't matter how far you as away from it as long as you're still within the lines of the road |
