you have to take 34 hour ( if I recall the hours exactly ) break then you can restart your 70. Consult your FMCSR book for exact hours , I just can't remember since I retired off the road. The mind is the second thing to go. |

If you are referring to a CDL & have accrued the max hours you can drive (70 hours in 8 days) then you need to take a few days off until you can regain some driving hours. If you are completing your daily log correctly, you would know days in advance how many hours you would have available for today, Monday, Tuesday & possibly Wednesday. |
