How many car accidents have you been in?

Just two. But I'm just a teen, so my parents were driving. The first time we were switching lanes and a man on his phone was speeding and crashed into the passenger door. The second time was actually on my school bus, we were going past a subdivision and a young woman driving did not stop at the stop sign for those leaving the subdivision she hit the side of the bus and the bus hit the subdivision sign. No one was injured in the bus, but the lady driving the car got a compound fracture(the bone in her arm completely snapped in two and she got a lot of deep cuts that gushed blood. I remember we were not allowed to get off the bus and I watched her stumble through her car door and she sat on the curb, silently crying and clutching her broken arm while her bllod stained the sidewalk. That was a shaky experience. They had to call a life support ambulance for that poor lady, she sustained a neck injury too, and she could only have been 25 years old or so, luckily she lived. But I don't blame her, her brake was jammed.

Just one. I was stopped at a light and a small pickup truck rear ended my car. He said his brakes locked up. Fortunately my car was a big old American car and was barely scratched, while his grill was all knocked in. The baby in my car slept through the whole thing.

I was in a head on collison twice. Both times were not my fault. When i was little i was with my uncle and my dad some girl started making a u-turn and slammed right into us head-on. Then i was driving into the middle of a intersection some young kid started making a u-turn infront of me again on a red light i couldnt stop and again slammed right into him head on on his side fender going 50 miles an hour.

If you count little fender benders, I have been in 4 accidents. I have been in really one true accident where cops got involved and it was my fault. I was just upset that a girl broke up with me and I wasn't really concentrating on what I was doing. I admit I was an idiot and I will never do that again. I have been in 5 if you count hitting a deer. Some people think paying attention will keep you from getting in an accident. They are wrong. It is other people usually that cause accidents, not yourself. I admit one was my fault, but the other ones werent. Hitting a deer at night when they run out from behind a bush is not that easy to miss. You can be the best driver in the world and still get in an accident.

There is no such thing as a car accident. I have been in 2 motorcycle collisions and four serious car collisions. And each and every one of them was avoidable; therefore, not accidents. If blame can be attached, then it is not an accident.

I know for a fact that the other driver was to blame for 5 of these collisions and I was totally at fault for one. And I probably could have avoided at least three of those if I had been paying proper attention to what the other driver(s) were doing at the time.

I've been driving for 30 years & have only been involved in 2 accidents.
The first was in a very bad winter & I was responding to the rescue squad where I worked to go to a traffic accident where a semi had jack-knifed and pinned a car between the truck & trailer. I lost control in a curve & wrapped my car around the end of a bridge. Total loss. No injuries, accident blamed on the weather.

The second was in my cruiser & was rear ended while sitting at a stop light. Driver was paying attention to change he dropped on the floor of the car instead of traffic. He had a very sick look on his face when he realized he just rear ended a police car.
No damage to either car, no injuries.

Good to hear no one was injured in your accident. Accidents can be nerve racking, especially in the winter time when everything is slick and all the cars just keep sliding all over the road.

one. my uncle was driving, the guy stopped at the stop sign pulled out and T'd us it was on the passanger side where i was sitting and it hurt, but nothing serious. totalled both vehicals tho.
