How much air should I put in my tires?

Both in normal conditions as well as with a load, the vehicle has no decal on the door.

It depends on the vehicle application, the size of the tires, how much weight is on the tires, and whether fuel economy is more important to you than a smooth ride.

Listed in the owner’s manual or on a decal in the glove-box in every vehicle are the recommended inflation pressures from the vehicle manufacturer.

For most passenger cars, minivans and mini-pickups, the recommendations range from 27 to 32 psi.

For full-size pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles, the recommended inflation pressures tend to be about 5 to 8 psi higher to reflect the larger tire sizes and greater weight of these vehicles.

It’s important to note that the recommended inflation pressures may differ for the front and rear tires.

If you’re carrying a lot of extra cargo, car pooling, hauling a lot of stuff in the back of a pickup or towing a trailer, a few extra pounds of pressure would be recommended to offset the added weight. Add the extra pounds to the rear tires.

WARNING: Never exceed the maximum inflation pressure specified on the sidewall of the tire. This number is the maximum pressure the tire is designed to safely handle. Higher pressure increases the risk of tire damage (when hitting a bump) or tire failure.

Read you owner's manuel and see what the recommended PSI is. Then invest in a tire guage.

Need to know the kind of vehicle it is before I could tell you anything.

But, what you can do is look on the tire itself. It will tell you the MAX pressure for the tire. If it reads 44 PSI than 35 PSI would be good for a normal load. This is usually the case on cars.

If it reads 80 usually 60 PSI all around is good. With a load in the back you may want to put 50 PSI in the front tires and 70 PSI in the rear. This is usually the case for large trucks like Dodges and Chevy's.

There is a panel on either the driver or passenger side door post.
That panel has the air pressure for your vehicle on it. Follow those numbers.
Do not use other advice. The manufacturer has done a LOT of research to determine those optimum pressures.
Note that the pressures for front and rear may be different.

Look on the side (wall) of your tire! You will find numbers (example) like 31 psi at 2500 lbs, 35 psi at 3000 lbs. That is the “ONLY” number to use the glove box and drive door have stickers on psi also, but always check your tires. This is in case someone changed tire sizes for some reason.
