i parked on a residential street that said no parking unless with permit. i went into my friends house for 5 min and when i drove off, i noticed a yellow paper fly off the windshield. could it be a leaf? also, will i eventually get something in the mail saying i have to pay it off if it was really a ticket?

Parking fines are usually stuck to the glass. Just hope it was a leaf! You will get a letter ordering you to pay, however, by then it will be overdue and the fine increased. Better to park legally and WALK in the first place! |

I would not worry about it. If it was a parking ticket they will let you know. Only problem is if it was a parking ticket and you do not pay it in the allotted time it may increase the fine amount. Give it a week then call the municipality where you received it and ask them how you find out if you received one.
I got one a few years back and threw it at the meter maid as we left and my $ 5.00 ticket turned into $ 50.00 for not paying it. They sent me a letter to let me know that my registration or license plate would be flagged until it was paid. |

if it's a parking ticket you'll get a mail. And if do you get one in all probability you will be able to get it dismissed by enrolling in an online traffic schools like http://www.trafficinteractive.com/ or a classroom traffic school. |

You'll find out in the mail if it was a ticket.......of course by the time that notice gets to it (fine) will be 4-5 times higher......If you were really concerned would you not have stopped to look? I would call the police department to find out what color the tickets are. |
