They should be at least 13 years old, otherwise if you were to get into an accident, the child would not be able to handle the impact of the airbag resulting in the childs possible injury or death. |

12; especially if it has an airbag in the passenger side. |

Laws vary - but the laws of physics are the same everywhere. No child should sit in the front until they are 12 years old. In fact, many car seat techs won't allow their children to ride up front until they have a license, lol. It is in part about size. Its also about bone maturity. The front seatbelts in a car are made to fit an average sized adult, not a child. and the airbag will do serious damage to a child. Better to keep kids in the back seat. In fact - EVERYONE would be safest in the back. Hehe, but someone has to drive! :) |

Research has shown that the bodies of children below the age of 14 will be seriously damaged by an airbag (opening up, of course!). It is not a matter of size or weight but a matter of hormones that give enough strengths to the bones to cope with the pressure of an airbag after the age of 14.
So, my answer is leave them at the back of the car until they reach that age. |

im 12 and my mum FINALLY let me sit in the front seat. Personally i think it matters more on the height and weight of the passenger then the age.
Seat belts are also importent |

I'm pretty sure the law requires a person to be at least 12 years old to ride up front. I'm not sure, though, it might be 13. |

I would say 8 because that when I was allow to ride in the front or when the kid weight atleast 75 lbs & atleast 4 feet.
That what I would think would be safe for them. |
