Police are on the lookout for a car that was stolen while a child was inside.
According to the Police Bureau, the child's mother parked her car in front of a store at the southwest corner of a Street. The woman ran inside the store, leaving her toddler buckled in a car seat and keys in the ignition. When she came out, the car was gone.
Whoever took the car decided they did not want the child around and dropped the toddler off at a nearby corner. The child was returned to the mother.
No matter how quick I think I am going to be I always bring my daughter in with me even if she falls asleep while we are driving. Gee no one should ever leave an infant or small child in a car.

Not only should they not leave a toddler or infant unattended in a car, but let alone, an ignition key on with the kid inside...what a stupid act!....geesh she is lucky to even have the child back!
I bet this dumb woman was thinking of her wallet or the car insurance, rather than to care about her child...this is the kind of behavior that leads society over to dark spots of a community that depresses us, and isolate us at a certain point, if you know what I mean.... |

She deserves to lose the car.
Some would say she deserves to lose the kid (to the State).
You don't leave small children in the car.
You don't leave the keys in the car.

A lot of mothers are guilty of this including myself. I used to do that when my kids were under 1yr. I would bring spare keys with me and lock the doors. Good thing nothing never happened but you never know with or without the car running even with or without kids being inside. Its not a smart move either way but like anything else, some people will continue to do stupid things, until they grow up or something happens. My hope would be that people grow up before anything bad ever happens. |

Leaving a child in a car, is called child abandonment. The penalty usually, the person goes to jail. |
