How do you stay safe at a movie theatre..
im going with kids around my age and my mom is worried about me getting kidnapped.
we r around 13 and my mom is pretty strict but i really wanna go

Just stay close with lots of your friends. Pepper spray is legal so maybe think about that. |

Do you have a cell phone? If you don't, maybe you should get one. Some cell's actually have GPS built in so that a person could be tracked down if needed. Regardless Kidnappers don't want to be noticed. Stay in public areas with lots of people and you'll be fine. Besides your in a group. Also, if (god forbid) something ever did happen, you have to remember to yell your lungs off! Always remember a kidnapper will tell you to stay quiet because they don't want attention. If you bring attention to the situation the guy has 2 choices, run and at worst be charged with an attempted kidnapping, or B kill you and face a for sure murder charge. I think we all know which option they will pick. RUN! So yelling will save you. Keep that in mind and point out that you know what to do if something bad ever happend. Your growing up and you probably deserve a little trust that you'll do the right thing and can take care of yourself. |

The only thing you can do is try and convince your mom it isn't that dangerous, you could carry a weapon although that wouldn't be a great idea. |

Why not suggest to your mum that she can sit towards the back of the cinema, but not on the same row as you girls.
Up until I was around 15 my mum would follow me everywhere! It was a real pain but I now know exactly why she did it. There's a lot of sick people out there who will go for easy targets, unfortunately, you and your friends will be easy targets for these types of sick people.
Stay in a group, have your mum (or trusted adult) walk behind & don't talk to strangers, don't accept lifts from anyone, don't take a drink/sweets anyone gives/offers you, either.

At that age you should not be going to the movies by yourself.....read the news and you will see that there are a lot of sick people out there....stay home or go to a friends house life is too short. |
