Glad you're OK. As you found out, we as pedestrians have to watch out for our own well being instead of depending on drivers to do it for us. Take solace compared to those who are strolling down the ave. texting their hearts away and walk smack into a tree or fire hydrant. Now that's stooopid! |

I do this all the time. So have my mates.
Any where you have traffic and pedestrians together this will happen.
In some countries, I have even heard that they even go so far to make it illegal. I live in the UK and despite them being a nanny state we can cross the road when ever we want. I can't imagine living in a country where "jay-walking" is illegal
