I am a new driver... Will my urge to use both feet go away with time?

I am a new driver and I am afraid of sharp turns. I also want to use both feet instead of just one. However, my mom always screams when I go to use my other foot. Will my urge to use both feet go away with time? Thanks!

Learn good habits from the start and you will be a good driver and yes, it will go away. Unless you start driving standard shift cars.

When approaching a sharp turn slow down gradually, don't jump on the brakes. There could be cars behind you. Do your best to stay between the lines on your side of the street.

1) Fold your left leg under your right
2) Buy a manual transmission car 4 or 5 speed

these are your options

Pay no attention to that mother behind the curtain! I have been driving for over 35 years and I always use both feet when I drive. Just buy a vehicle with a stick shift -- that will cure you (if you want to be, that is..)

take the shoe off your left foot and that will make you remember not
to use that foot
of course only for practice until you break the urge to use both feet

Yes, it will. The way to keep it from becoming a habit is to never start it. You'll get used to using one foot after time.

No..............unless you start doing something about it "NOW".

I have many customers that still use two feet while driving and they are in their 40's so start changing your ways today..

Life is good
If you drive an automatic equipped vehicle there is absolutely nothing wrong with using the right foot on the gas and the left foot for the brake. There never has been anything wrong with doing this.
The only problem that arises is if you start to get lazy and use the brake pedal for a footrest whilst driving. I drive with my right foot only but I know of many drivers that use the two feet system. Having your left foot covering the brake actually cuts down on reaction time in an emergency stop. And there is no law that states that you must brake with your right foot.
Just drive by the system that works best for you.
