I'm told the class should be stamped somewhere but I can't find one. It's pretty rusty. It's a frame mount so I assume its at least a class2. How can I tell?

If it is too rusty to read the stamped information than it is too rusty to trust towing anything! Replace it! Period.

Best bet is replace because it is rusty, if too bad. Then you will know for sure what class it is. I would put a class 3 on it if you are going to do any towing with it. A new one is only about $120, if you put it on. |
