No, amputees can get their license.

Nothing illegal about driving a personal automobile with one arm. If you are a professional driver, you may need to check with your state board. Some states have restrictions. For example in Missouri you must have all ten fingers to get your school bus driver's permit.

no law against it. be careful though- i know when I drive on the highway or in the tunnel i MUST use 2 hands so i can be extra careful

I think it depends on what state you live in..because I think some would consider that as driving impaired or something.
