I did 35mph and saw the truvello speed camera facing my direction on the opposite side of the road, but braked?

Can a truvelo speed camera which is on the opposite side of the road, )but if it did take a pic would have taken a pic of my face), does this camera on the opp side of the road work for opposite side of the lane aswell?

im positive there were no markings on the floor and the camera is only a few months old its only been put up recently

i was doing35mph for a while and as soon as i spotted the camera i slammed on the brakes and dropped to 30mph within a millisecond but i applied the brakes relatively close to the end of the camera.

do you think i would have been caught

also this 14 days rule thing, it occured mid december so hopefully all the police workers are on christmas holidays so wont be in work anyway??
or do they extend the time period for christmas or do they not even have christmas breaks or do they just get a couple of days off?

im going crazy thinking about it

dont worry...they go off at 33mph in a 30 limit...i think your ok if you braked in time...
just enjoy the holls,if it comes it comes....no point worrying...merry xmas

then slow down and drive like everyone else if you drive with the flow most likely never get a ticket at all so next time your passing everyone think about it why your in such a hurry to get where your going its still going to be there even after you leave

If there are no lines on your side of the road then the camera can't be set up correctly.

Truvelo cameras are situated on the opposite side of the road from the direction they take the picture.
There has to be 3 white lines 3" wide 3" apart on the road lane facing the camera in order for the camera to be positioned correctly,(truvelo cameras can be swung 180 deg to monitor traffic in the opposite directions and these lines are used to locate the position of the camera).

No white lines as you approach the facing camera..no detection.

Generally speaking, of all the cameras in a county, only about a quarter are switched on at any one time. They are used randomly. so the chances of you getting away with it are good.

relax, i have been front flashed loads of times, unless there are lines on your side of the road there is no way to LEGALLY get your speed if anything comes back just accuse the camera of having a fault and they have nowhere to go with it

if the speedo was showing 35mph, you will only have been doing 32 ish. all speedos over read. they cannot under read however.

hollidays dont count as a "work day" in court. If you are having problems with those pesky cameras then do as I do. I get my ticket and take it to court. There will be an officer that says blah blah blah--------THATS WHEN YOU SAY -----OBJECTION___HEARSAY!.....the ony witness that can legally testify against you is the camera and the camera cant talk. But if you dont object in court then by your silence you are saying that its ok for this guy to testify against you even though he wasnt there. Its called estopell. You need to brush up on your rights...but have no fear...everyone is legally stupid nowadays because they dont teach law in public school....uncle sam cant have litterate, competent people running around.
