okay so i just had a 1995 ford taurus and i put brand new tires on and drove it for 1000 miles not even, so i was wondering since i have to replace my tires on my 1997 jeep cherokee sport if i could just transfer those over. i know they may be off a little but will it work for a few months?

You did not give any details but I looked this up. Your Taurus should have 205/65-15 tires, the Cherokee is 225/75-15. They will fit. Because the 225's are taller they spin 736 revolutions per mile, the 205's spin at 817 revolutions per mile. Your speedometer will be off by 11%. (Take a look at the sidewall and confirm the sizes, either vehicle may have a different than standard size.) |

Nope, you have to get a larger tire for your Jeep Cherokee Sport. It's nearly impossible, if not totally impossible to change tires from a car to a truck.
Look at the size of the tire listed on the wall of your Jeep Cherokee, and that is the size you'll need to buy. Here is a link to Discount Tires with menu to help choose your tires.

You can sell your new tires from your Taurus to offset the cost of the new Jeep tires.
