I don't understand something that's on my dashboard?

Alright whenever I drive, I always see headdash where the A/C component is and the defroster activator. But there is one buttion between those two buttons and it shows a picture of a car with a arrow circulating throughout the car. What button is does that function? I've been driving quite some time and still don't understand what it does. May somebody please help

It is an economy function of your a/c, it is recirculated air instead of fresh air. When you use this function you'll, the air is blows out harder and you'll get better gas mileage, too. Using fresh air can keep you more alert though. |

It is outside air coming in VS air IN the car being circulated through the car. Meaning pressed button is just closing off outside air from coming in and "recirculating" the air that is in the car. |

Sounds like the switch to circulate the air inside the car instead of pulling in outside air for the A/C system. |

That's for your heat/air conditioning. When off or not lit, it's getting you fresh air from outside. When on or lit, it's circulating the air from within the vehicle. The later is more efficient when trying to dramatically heat or cool your vehicle. |

you partly answered the question yourself, this sounds like the indicator for recirculating air in the car. instead of drawing fresh air from outside, this closes the vent for fresh air and recirculates the air in the car. It provides quicker cooling of the air when you use the A/C. the only problem I've experienced when using this setting, is having too much moisture in the car and the windows fog (rare problem) |

That's the "recirculate" button. It closes the ventilation to the outside and recycles the air through the air conditioner. It helps to make the a/c cooler, quicker. |

It's for the heating and A/C, it means when that button is pushed you are just recirculating the inside air. Helps the A/C and heat to function more economically. |

This re-circulates the air inside the car. So if your stuck behind a car that is giving off a load of smelly fumes then this button will prevent air from entering the car and just cool (or heat) the air that is in the car already :) |

Recirculated Air..........
Air that exists within the passenger compartment is drawn into the blower intake system and reused. Generally, recirculated air selection is used with air-conditioning operation to provide quicker cooling or heating of vehicle interior. |
