purposely taking 2 spaces........we live in a townhome kind of street but we dont specific parking spaces for each and every household.....i mean we all have a garage but that's it.......my household has 3 cars.....we all park with consideration for other because on some days if we dont find parking down our street we have to park even a block away and its dangerous for people you know.......well this guy has a 4runner, a small nissan truck, a honda civic, and like 3 other cars but he has no consideration for anyone! he takes up 2 parking spaces with like at least 3 cars so he can "save" parking for his other cars.....well sometimes when i get home from work like at 6pm there is no parking and i actually have to park 2 blocks from my house! it pisses me off cauz as im walking to get to my house, i see his stupid fu*ken cars taking 2 spaces! and i just want to throw a rock at his windshields! ugh!!!!! well anyways, i have wanted to call the police and show them what this guy does so maybe instead of giving everyone else tickets for partially parking in the red, he can give him one for being a dumb a*s! is there anything i can do?

Well there are two things you can do. The first is to talk to this neighbor of yours. Issues won't be solved if you suffer in silence. You need to talk to them. Since they are your neighbor a nice way of doing it would be to invite them over for a cup of coffee and then bring up the issue in the conversation. Chances are if you respond in a friendly way they may be more inclined to change for your comfort. But asking them in a rude way would make things harder. Just try to be friendly about it first and ask them to park elsewhere and leave enough space for others. If that doesn't work then you should call the police. The local authorities have the responsibility of making sure all in neighboring areas are living in peace. It is the same way when loud music is being played by an inconsiderate neighbor. The police are responsible for correcting and maintaining situations. So try the neighborly approach and if that doesn't work, report them to the authorities. |

If you have a neighborhood association, you will need to complain to them. Take pictures of how he parks his cars. |

If it's private property, take it up with the property owner. If it's a publicly maintained parking area, call the cops. |

Have got the same problem but on a smaller scale. Unfortunately some people are plain selfish. I guess there is a small chance you could suggest if he parked his cars just a little bit closer, then there would be more spaces? |

un fortuantly theres nothing you can do. you could go tell him that hes taking up 2 spaces and see if he would move over. i hate people like this we have 8 cars and 2 trailers and we only take up 2 spots on the street |
