First, you have made a statement but put a question mark at the end. I am guessing you want to know what to do about the ticket so you do not have to pay.

You need the ticket. There is a very good chance the car description does not match your car's description. I am guessing the citing officer transposed a number/letter from the plate. Or it maybe the court is not reading the officer's writing very well.
Do you live in the same town the ticket was issued? Do you have any way to prove you were somewhere else when the citation was issued?
WHEN you find a discrepancy that can prove it was not your car, then contact the agency that issued the ticket. Explain how/why it could not be your car & ask the citation be dismissed. If you cannot get it dismissed through the issuing agency, then you will need to go to court to plead your case.

I was notified I got a parking ticket in a town about 180 miles away. I requested a copy of the ticket. The plate number matched mine but the description did not. The make of car & the color were different. I gave the info to the citing agency. I asked them to run a registration check to confirm the make was wrong. Further, the body style was not even close. I also asked them to check the car color on the ticket to the car color coded into the vehicle identification number. Once they confirmed there had been a mistake, they dismissed the citation & I got a written notification of the dismissal.

hello. when you're certain the ticket is not yours fight it. so often the ticket writer does not show up to 'back up' the ticket.

the info is on the ticket. is it your car? did you loan it out? alot of questions here to determine who is at fault.

Get a diary. Every time you exit your car, jot down the milage. Check this again every time you return to the dar.

This will tell you if anyone borrowed it while you were gone.

if you can prove you were somewere else contact your local tv.station they will surely help as they love this stuff ,makes a good story.second choice is to contact your local politician.

FIRST IT COULD BE AN ERROR BY THE POLICE OFFICER, BUT IF ALL INFORMATION IS CORRECT ON THE TICKET THEN EITHER YOU LOANED THE VEHICLE TO SOMEONE ELSE OR YOU ARE NOT TELLING THE WHOLE STORY.

start making phone calls requesting the money to pay the ticket in full. after 2nd attempt make a fake letter heading stating that it is a law office or a lawyer and then type a letter under it stating the ammount of money owed and for what situation. very well could work.
