I got into a car accident =[?

Okay so on my way to school this morning i pulled up to a street that had a stop sign. and i stopped. Across the street is a road where the people are allowed to turn left. but the driver of the other car made a u-turn while i was making my right turn and we both collided. we both have front end damage. So who is at fault? please refer to picture to see what im talking about. the sign on the street does not say anything about UTURNS only left turn. a police was called but report because the cop said its a civil matter and no1 broke any laws i guess. but im really sad. my car is only 2 months old. 2008 Honda accord.

I think his fault because if any driver is making a UTURN, i thought their supposed to let all the other drivers do their turns and then carefully make their UTURN. I think you are right, i don't think you made a mistake. you were just doing your thing and making a right turn. I think clearly that its the other driver's fault.

I think the other guy is at fault. All you were doing is making a right turn. If your making a u-turn you should really wait to be sure nobody is there.

The other driver is at fault. The other driver should have been paying more attention when they made the U turn. Did you call the police and get a accident report?

obviosly its the persons fault! They shouldnt have made the u-turn at first! And you were going the right way.

The vehicle that made the u-turn would be at fault, 1. for making it and 2. for crossing over two lanes and 3. failure to yield the right of way...........

If it was a 4 way stop and he was there first, he had the right of way and it would be your fault. If you both had stop signs, you had the right of way of turning right so it would be his fault.

If there wasn't a "No U-Turn" sign, you're at fault. At the stop sign, you're supposed to wait until it's clear to go, apparently it wasn't.

Sorry but you're at fault. You might not have expected him to make a U-Turn, but if he did obviously the incoming traffic lane was clear, so he isn't at fault
